Enhance Your Knowledge

nOur bodies are constantly orchestrating motor recruitment solutions around movement, loads, and postures that are influenced by our environment, culture, and activities.  Both trauma and learned behaviors contribute to and create, imbalances that challenge our system to alter its movement patterns and adjust its posture to find the path of least resistance.  Maladaptation and dysfunction ultimately lead to injury, and while an injury can be treated acutely, dysfunction requires long term intervention.  Efficient functional programming should include interventions that address the cycle of dysfunctional movement. As trainers, our role is to promote effective changes in movement as behavior in order to optimize performance.
