It’s where we hold our habitual ingrained thought patterns.nnAnyway, if you’ve had any experience of trying to reason with or argue someone round to your way of thinking… you already know…nThe Neocortex (The “Thinking Brain”) Can Be As Stubborn As A MulennNext we have the “mid brain”. Officially known as the Mammalian brain.nnThis part of the brain is the social part of the brain. It helps us make sense of social interactions and allows us to relate with other people.nnBut for the sake of having the most powerful hypnotic influence we are primarily interested (initially, at least) with the “lower brain”. This is often referred to as the Limbic brain or the Reptilian brain.nnOr, as I like to call it…nThe Crocodile BrainnnHere’s what’s important to know about the crocodile (croc) brain.nnIn the lower west side “Zip Code” area of the croc brain is a small ball of motor-neurons called the Amygdala (pronounced Ah-mig-dala).nnThe Amygdala is about 5-million-years old in evolutionary terms and is a fickle little “neuro-network”.nnMost biochemists and neuroscientists talk about the Amygdala as the “fire alarm” in the brain.
